Elijah (The Nightwalkers, Book 3) Review

He is known as the Warrior Captain--a master of every weapon, a fierce soldier sworn to protect his kind from violence. Powerful, relentless, merciless, Elijah has always won every battle he's ever taken on--until now. Ambushed by Necromancers, he is left for dead only to be rescued by a woman who could very well deliver the final blow...Siena, the Lycanthrope Queen.

But Siena's will is every bit a match for Elijah's own, her sleek and sensual nature waking a hunger within him that he cannot deny. Now, the Warrior in Elijah is consumed with a different battle--winning Siena's heart by giving her pleasure beyond all boundaries. What starts as attraction and arousal soon burns into a passion with consequences that will echo through the ages for both their people. And as would-be enemies become inseparable lovers, another threat approaches, one with the power to destroy them all...

Elijah is attacked by the traitor demon Ruth in Lycanthrope territory and is lying there about to die when the Lycanthrope Queen Siena saves him. He is to hurt to move far so she takes him to a safe place for him to heal.
They find them selves drawn to each other unable to resit the urges that drawn them to each other. The queen has never felt this way before about a man she purposely keeps her self away form situations that would put her in a position that could potentially bring her close to a male. She seen how it works when a Lythrope Queens take a male and make them a king. It did not work with her father he was a tyrant and she refuses to fall in love and make any male king must less this demon king a warrior that fought against her kind and slaughtered many of them in their war with each other. Will she except Elijahs love or will she refuse him and suffer?
I thought this was a good book not as good as Jacob but still very good. Eiljah is a strong sexy male who knows what he wants and is willing to do anything to get it. Siena is a strong stubborn women she is a little whinny at times, she is not willing to share her thrown, so she is a bit pushy at times. There is action, romance, Love, and all you need for a good story. its a good read i

Dear Reader,
Please note that the text of this story, ELIJAH by Jacquelyn Frank, begins on page 7. The first six pages are the teaser copy, the Also By The Author page, the title page, the copyright page and the dedication.
Also on the inside front cover, it lists NOAH as available now. That title will be published in September, 2008.
Sorry for any confusion.

Elijah and Siena make a dynamic royal pair - K. Brown - Angleton, TX USA
In this third installment of the Nightwalker series, Jacquelyn Frank brings together two people who could not be more different. He is known as 'the Butcher' to the Lycanthrope race, and she is their reigning queen. When she comes across him, severely injured and dying, after being ambushed by villains, she rescues him, and takes him to a secluded cave to take care of him. Things progress quickly between them, regardless of Elijah's wish not to press her, and Siena's wish not to become involved with him. She reigns as a virgin queen, and the first time she gives herself to a man, he becomes her mate, and she wants to avoid this at all costs. She does not wish to have a dominant man sharing the throne with her, not after her father plunged her people into three hundred years of war. No matter their individual inner conflicts, the Imprinting occurs.
He leaves the cave and returns to the king's home. She refuses to acknowledge the Imprinting, maintaining that Lycanthropies are not bound by it. Elijah keeps his distance, knowing that Samhain will see them come together whether she wishes or not. Siena constantly fights her fear of being Imprinted, but also knowing that Elijah is her destined mate. I loved how Magdelegna and Gideon offer her the solution she needs. With rogue Demons, evil necromancers, and hunters revolving in the background, this is another winner for Jacquelyn Frank. Enjoy.
Successful hunt for passion! - A. McKinnon -
This is the third book in the "Nightwalkers" series- and a great addition. I think so far, this one is my favorite! This is very definitely a romance series, so it has to follow a formula, but it does so in a highly satisfying manner.
The romance was briefly set up in the last book "Gideon," and does not dissappoint. Both characters Siena and Elija are strong, both warriors, both leaders and nothing in sacrificed in terms of character in the name of love or story line. The strength of the characters is nicely set up for being the focus of their admiration for each other. Solid strong female lead and well balanced warrior male.
The overarching plot that spans the books is continued providing satisfying time for favorite characters from other books- Jacob & Bella most especially. There is just enough forward motion that you feel things are progressing without too much jarring to the romance. It's also nice to see the relationships continue to develop in prior couples.
Over all, I really enjoyed this book. Strong characters, strong images, solid plot continuations and tantalizing glimpses of where the next books might go. A new species is brought in and a clever connection found that might hint at later closeness between all the nightwalker species...
Frank continues to grow a great paranormal romance series with Elijah! - Erin K. Simons - Central Indiana
Once again, Jacquelyn Frank delivers a book that could reheat my tea without the benefit of a microwave. Whoo. Elijah is, in a word, steamy.
In this third installment in the Nightwalkers series, the lycanthropes take center stage through Siena, the race's leonine queen. When Siena saves Elijah, the Demon Warrior Chief, from an attack by necromancers, he is nearly dead. She nurses him back to health, and in the process, the two are unable to fight their powerful attraction to one another. Unfortunately, their budding love affair is a forbidden one -- by law, Nightwalker races simply do not mix. But Elijah realizes quickly that he and Siena are imprinted, and destined to be together despite the taboo.
Their relationship is complicated by politics and power grabs, but overall, it's a nice story. Frank does a beautiful job of advancing the overarching story of the series, and brings traitorous Ruth and her daughter Mary further into the open. Elijah is a perfect alpha male romantic lead, and the romantic interludes he shares with Siena are very erotic in a hot, primal sense. Let me put it to you this way: you may feel the need to put down the book and fan yourself before starting a new chapter.
Frank also teases the next series coupling of Syreena, hybrid lycanthrope sister of Siena, and Damien, the prince of the Vampires. I'm not jazzed about either of those characters from the initial chemistry, but I'm sure that Frank won't let me down. She hasn't failed me yet. So, while I'll miss my leading Demon men, I'm confident enough in Frank's storytelling to say, "Bring on the vamps!"
