Batman: Arkham Asylum (15th Anniversary Edition) Review

My favorite part of this whole graphic novel would have to be the art. The art is definitely unlike anything I've seen in comics before, and I've only seen the style here and there in artistic media. The Arkham backstory was interesting, but did get a little confusing at times when Arkham's dialogue was on panels of Batman running through Arkham. Although I really enjoyed the art it does lend itself to having to focus on the panels for a bit longer to fully absorb the action being depicted. The story is fairly simplistic and you can either take it at face value or dig deeper into it. Overall this graphic novel is an interesting Batman novel, but from what I can tell it's not a full on Batman story as it delves deeper into the mythos of Arkham Asylum and its insane inmates. Still an interesting read none the less. I recommend this as a buy, or if you have a friend that has it barrow theirs.

Difficult to read, but a worthy addition to your collection. - TravMac -
It's definitely one of the hardest books I've ever had to read. But more than likely intentionally, it manages to put you into the maddening frame of mind Batman must've been going through while at Arkham.
I liked it, didn't love it though. I'll keep it and try to read it again another day to see if I missed anything worth putting it on my top ten list.

Excellent Product & Customer Service! - Ann M. Stanley -

I ordered a book from this seller; his listing said it was "used" but in great condition. Let me tell you, it was in EXCELLENT condition - I would have thought it was brand new! Great product and understated honesty - that's what makes a great seller. Thank You!

Too short, didn't like the art - Michael Talarski - Glastonbury, CT
I sadly don't have much to add besides the fact that I wanted more of the story and that the art hurt me. It wasn't bad I just didn't like the style at all.

You do end up buying a lot of bonus scripts and concept pages so yeah.
